\nThere are 1,531<\/strong>\u00a0that has a turnover of more than one billion Swedish crowns in Sweden. Excluding subsidiaries there is 1,073<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
\n120<\/strong> companies have over 20%<\/strong> in profit margin. Banking, real estate, pharmaceuticals and investment are common sectors in this group.<\/p>\n
\nMost billion companies are found, perhaps not quite unexpectedly, in the metropolitan regions. 126<\/strong> companies are located in Sk\u00e5ne County, 148<\/strong> in V\u00e4stra G\u00f6taland County and 552<\/strong> in Stockholm County.<\/p>\n
\nThese companies, of course, require an extensive workforce and contribute to many jobs. 347<\/strong> of the billion companies have more than 1,000<\/strong> employees.<\/p>\n
\nSome of the largest industries are construction \/ building trade with 84<\/strong> companies. In the automotive \/ vehicle sector there are 79<\/strong> companies and 70<\/strong> companies operate in the food industry \/ food trade.<\/p>\n
\nThe automotive industry is based in western Sweden. V\u00e4stra G\u00f6taland County has 17%<\/strong> of billion companies’ total revenue, but in the automotive industry, the figure is 72%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
\nSk\u00e5ne is sometimes called Sweden’s grain store. The country has 8%<\/strong> of billion companies’ total sales, but in the food industry the figure is 32%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
